Aerial yoga is a joy - making your senses come alive! It offers classical yoga asanas using a hammock as a prop to aid your alignment and support your yoga practice. It helps to build core strength and stamina and improves flexibility. It also facilitates decompression of the spine which may improve back and neck pain.
There is a funky feeling about practising aerial yoga but don't be misled, its serious yoga and requires concentration, attention to your breath and focus. Aerial yoga is firstly about being safe as you practice and here you will learn the fundamentals of aerial yoga and how to incorporate them into your daily yoga routine.
Yoga is not about creating a perfect looking body. it is about accepting that all of our bodies are different for example in compression points, flexibility and structure. Using the hammock as a support during yoga practice helps us to explore stretching, alignment and balance and much more!.

Aerial yoga is fun but as it is deeply rooted in classical yoga you will find your favourite asanas in your aerial practice. If there are some poses that you stay away from as you wobble, or fall over or just don't seem to be flexible enough then aerial yoga may be the answer! Many students find having a soft floor inside the hammock allows for more flexibility in the body and enables them to perform poses they never thought possible. YouTube Channel - Love Aerial Yoga.
